The Shop

Beddressed is the trading name of Beddressed Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17448351.

Our registered office is 25 Artemis Court, Homer Drive, London E14 3UH.

These terms are written in English, they are governed by the law of England and Wales, and nothing in them takes away a right the law gives you as a consumer.

Ordering

Nothing on this site can be bought yet. No price has been set, no payment is taken, and the cart’s button asks for an email address instead of a card. So if you have left an address with us, you have joined a list and nothing more. You owe us nothing and we owe you nothing but a letter when the drop opens.

When the drop does open, this is how an order will work. Putting something in the cart is not an order and holds nothing back for you. Placing an order is you offering to buy; we accept it, and the contract begins, when we email you to say the order is confirmed. Until that email arrives there is no contract, and we may decline an order if the piece has sold out, if the price on the page was plainly wrong, or if we cannot deliver to where you are.

We make a small number of each piece, in one drop a season. When they are gone, they are gone, and we will not always be able to make more.

Prices and Payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and in no other currency.

Every price on the site currently reads “Price at Launch”, which is not a coy way of saying expensive: it is that no number has been agreed. Nothing can be added to an order at a price we have not published.

When the shop opens you will be able to pay by card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payment is taken by Shopify at its own checkout: we never see or hold your card details.

The total you will pay, including any delivery charge, is shown before you commit to the order, and we take no payment before you do.

Delivery and Returns

Delivery first. The charge and the time depend on where a parcel is going and how it is sent, and both are shown in the cart before you pay, never afterwards.

A parcel is yours from the moment it is delivered to you or to somebody you have asked us to leave it with. Until then the risk is ours. If we have not told you a delivery date, the law gives us thirty days from the day the contract begins.

Now returns, and this part is your right rather than our policy. Because you are buying at a distance, you may change your mind for any reason at all, or for none:

• you have fourteen days from the day the order arrives to tell us you are cancelling;
• you then have fourteen more days to send the goods back;
• we refund what you paid within fourteen days of getting the goods back, or of you proving you have sent them;
• the refund includes the standard delivery charge you paid to receive the order. If you chose a faster service than our cheapest, we refund the cheapest;
• we may reduce the refund if the goods have been handled more than you would have handled them in a shop.

Nightdresses are clothes and not sealed goods, so nothing here is excluded for reasons of hygiene. Please send them back unworn, with their tags, in a state we could sell them in.

If Something Is Wrong With It

A return because you changed your mind and a return because the thing is faulty are two different things, and the second one is not affected by anything above.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 what we sell you has to be as described, fit to be worn and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you have thirty days from delivery to reject it and have your money back. After thirty days you can ask us to repair or replace it, and if that fails you can still claim.

A faulty piece costs you nothing to return, whenever you tell us. Write to info@beddressed.com with a photograph if that is easier than a parcel.

The Nightdresses

Our nightdresses are cut in cotton. Each listing carries the fibre composition, the care instructions and the fire warning the garment has to carry, and those are the facts to buy on, not the photographs, which are taken in daylight and will never match a screen exactly.

A print is printed on cloth in batches, and a batch can differ a little from the one before it. Colour and placement vary; that is the nature of the thing and is not a fault.

Nightwear sold in the United Kingdom is made and labelled to fire-safety rules, and the warning that applies to each piece is printed on its own page as well as on the garment.

The Welcome Offer

The welcome code is ten per cent off a first order. It is made from the email address you gave, so the same address always gets the same code. Asking again does not make a second one, and a code cannot be shared into a second discount.

The cart will hold a code and show that it is held, but nothing is spent against it while there are no prices. It applies to one order, it cannot be used with another offer, and we may withdraw the offer for future sign-ups at any time, which does not touch a code already issued.

Bring a Friend

When you join the waitlist you are given your own link to share. If a friend joins through it, you both may shop a day before everyone else when the drop opens. One friend is enough; there is nothing more to earn and no discount attached. It does not count for your own address, for somebody who was already on the list, or for an address our letters cannot reach.

Early access is a courtesy: it has no cash value, and we may end it at any time.
